Organic Sencha Aoi is grown, harvested, processed and packaged only one time per year by farmer Mr. Jiro Suzuki and his family in Iwata Town, Shizuoka Prefecture. Organic Aoi Sencha Japanese tea consists of leaves from the sides of the tea bush that has been produced according to the strict guidelines of the JAS (Japan Agricultural Standard) and is certified organic. It has an unusually satisfying and alluring flowery aftertaste.

In 1988 Jiro Suzuki was advised by almost everyone connected to growing tea in Shizuoka Prefecture to not change his entire tea farm to organic production.
