    USDA Organic Kukicha

    Single Estate Origin

    Green Tea Leaf Stems

USDA Organic Kukicha is grown and harvested in the Makinohara district of Shizuoka Prefecture, one of the world's premiere tea growing regions where one can literally view a green sea of tea bushes. Being located on the Pacific Ocean coastal plain allows for gentle breezes, ample night time moisture and plentiful sunshine, just the right conditions for growing superb green tea. Our supplier is a highly skilled artisan tea company that harvests from their own tea fields, resulting in complete control from start to finish. You will taste the difference of their expertise. Kukicha is often the byproduct of poor quality tea. However, the stems for our USDA Organic Kukicha come from premium quality tea leaves picked in the spring. This results in a light, refreshing Japanese green tea that tastes sweet and slightly vegetal. Kukicha hardly ever tastes bitter even when brewed more than once. Its caffeine content is lower than most other green teas. This tea has been grown, processed and packaged according to the strict guidelines of the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and is certified organic.
